Emotions

Emotions affect all areas of our lives and can propel us forward, keep us where we are or drag us back to the past.

Emotions are fundamental to our human nature; handwriting reveals emotional responsiveness in the slant of the upstrokes. 

Graphologists also look at the depth or pressure of the writing to determine how deeply emotional experiences sink into our psyches.  Some people can never let go of an old grudge and others are like the proverbial duck shaking off water.    

In fact, determining how a person feels is one of the first things we do when analysing a sample of handwriting.  We can very quickly see whether the writer is cool, calm and collected or whether he/she panics at the first sign of trouble.
